WHO WE ARE

We are Martin and Claudia, and we met on the banks of the River Amazon. Martin was studying birds in a national park and Claudia was completing her practical in a university course on tourism, by helping to establish the park’s visitors centre. Since then we have lived in many countries: England, Colombia and India and now Spain, accompanied by our son, Patrick. After a lot of hard work, our Casa Rural (Guesthouse) was open to visitors in 2005. For us it is very special to share our home with guests who come to explore the beautiful wildlife, culture and history of Extremadura, with its unspoilt landscapes, its spectacular natural history, its traditions, as well as its wholesome and delicious rural cuisine.
